The short answers.
What exactly is the birth certificate?
A QR-linked digital record on every assembly: per-lug torque values with tool calibration dates, crimp force data, hipot, continuity, phase rotation, and insulation resistance — matched to the as-built spec. It's the documentation NEC 110.14(D) requires and your commissioning agent will ask for, answered before it's asked. Scan the label in the rack, years later, and the record is still there.
What does "committed ship date" mean?
The date on the quote is the date, in writing. Expedite options and pricing are stated upfront, not negotiated under duress. When your spec changes — rack rows move, connectors swap — send the change and get a revised quote and committed date the same day.
